Starting my MFA

I have now graduated from Cornell University. That chapter of my life is over. Now, I begin an incredible three years in Alaska, as I was accepted into the MFA in Creative Writing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. As well, I will be teaching one class per semester. Instead of writing my syllabus, I am in the office writing this short message to the world.

I expect to learn so much from my cohort and professors. I expect to learn so much from this environment. I have thrust myself into a great wilderness and I must find my path.

I have become more and more curious about free verse and prose poetry. I am also still curious about Russian formalism.

What more shall I say? I am a young man with a great big life ahead of me. And already, I have done so much.
